Just a few of our favorite things...Above, a sneak peek at some of the items that have been arriving in the Sky Blue Events offices this week in preparation for this Saturday's Oxfords & Oysters party. VIP ticket holders will receive a large monogrammed O&O canvas tote bag filled with merchandise and gift certificates. From Red Door Spa beauty products and a full size Obagi Medical Elastiderm eye treatment to a sporty Southern Point polo shirt and a generous Elizabeth McKay gift certificate, we think girls and guys alike will be pleased as punch. With a retail value of almost $500, this exclusive VIP gift bag is unlike any other! More Oxfords & Oysters details >
The weather report is calling for sunshine and upper 70s -- perfect conditions for meeting up with friends and making new connections while Burnt Sienna, one of our favorite summertime beach bands, rocks Little Havana. Don't forget -- you'll also get to enjoy a 4-hour open bar, an oyster bar and heavy passed hors d'oeuvres.
General admission tickets are available for $75 online now and $85 at the door. VIP tickets (which include the deluxe gift bag) are available for $125. Note: limited quantity remaining. More info + tickets >
In addition to the social aspects of this celebration, you'll also have the chance to learn more about the Oyster Recovery Partnership and why oysters and the oyster shell recycling efforts are so vital to sustaining the Chesapeake Bay. For every $100 raised, 400 new oysters will be reharvested into the Bay -- this not only replenishes the oyster population but helps to purify and filter the water as well as build a stronger reef.
Representatives from the University of Baltimore, our signature sponsor, will also be on hand to share information about the graduate school admissions process, student life and the academics within its four schools: the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, the Merrick School of Business, the College of Public Affairs, and the School of Law. This is the perfect chance to meet with someone from UB and explore new career paths and options for continuing your higher education.
We're looking forward to seeing you Saturday in Baltimore for the first Oxfords & Oysters event!
