{Sponsor Buzz} Studio 921 Salon & Day Spa

Award-winning Studio 921 Salon & Day Spa, conveniently located in between Baltimore's Federal Hill and Locust Point neighborhoods, is one of our favorite retreats in the city.

From manicures to massages, the day spa's plethora of services never fail to transport us to a state of bliss. Housed in the expansive brick Foundry on Fort building complex (originally known as the Maryland White Paint Co. in 1867), its light-filled open space features a team of talented stylists and experts for hair design and color services, precision skin care, therapeutic massage and more.

We love our local businesses and are thrilled to have Studio 921's support for Oxfords & Oysters. If you are new to Studio 921 or are coming to our end-of-summer waterfront bash from afar, we hope you'll make time to discover why this salon is consistently recognized as one of Baltimore's top spas (Baltimore magazine's 2009 Best Day Spa; Top 30 salon 2008 and 2007; Best of Baltimore 2007 and 2006).

About Town : Gramercy Mansion, Studio 921, Sima's and more...

M + Me + my NY clients: Jessica and Erik I had the pleasure of taking two of my out of town wedding clients, Jessica and Erik, around Baltimore last weekend. The couple traveled from New York to visit their ceremony, reception, hotel and rehearsal dinner venues. I also arranged for Jessica to meet with potential hair stylists, makeup artists and manicurists that will play a part in the wedding weekend.

In addition to getting pampered and feeling beautiful, it was important to be well-fed. One of the highlights of their trip included a chance to enjoy a Chef's Expressions "Pinot-Inspired" wine dinner. Six courses of deliciousness paired with  Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir at the Gramercy Mansion in Stevenson. Favorites from the evening ranged from an oyster stew, pork and veal sausage with fennel and mint, and crunchy duck lollipop to chocolate hazelnut soup,  pumpkin cheesecake lollipops and gingersnaps.  Jessica and Erik were bowled over by the food and thrilled that their guests will get to experience such a similarly robust menu at the wedding.

The busy, appointment-packed schedule included: a trip to see Emily at Studio 921 for a manicure, a visit to Sima's to meet with Leah who will hopefully be creating Jessica's two hair styles for the wedding and a visit to Madeleine of La Papillon for a revamped skincare routine and makeup ideas for the big day. Gorgeous!
